Yes. All new Home Reset clients begin with a Home Visit.

The Home Visit gives me a chance to make sure Calmstead is the right fit for your household, get familiar with your home before your first Reset, and understand any preferences or priorities you’d like me to keep in mind.

Returning clients do not need an additional Home Visit.

We’ll walk through your home together so I can get familiar with the spaces I’ll be working in and learn where the household items I may need during a Reset are located.

We’ll also talk through any areas you’d like me to prioritize first outside of your Routine Essentials, along with household preferences or details that will help me work independently once your Home Resets begin.

The Home Visit is also an opportunity for us to make sure the service feels like the right fit before scheduling your first Reset.

No hands-on household work is completed during the Home Visit.

Every Home Reset includes a consistent set of household essentials: laundry, linens, refrigerator upkeep, and household supply replenishment.

From there, Calmstead keeps track of the recurring areas of your home that need attention — things like pantry organization, kids’ clothing, food storage, bathroom products, under-sink storage, and other household maintenance tasks.

There’s no task list to create before every visit. We keep track of what’s due and work through it in priority order.

You’re welcome to be home, but you don’t need to be.

For your first Home Reset, it can be helpful to be available briefly at the beginning in case there are any household-specific questions.

After that, you’re free to work from home, run errands, or go about your day while I take care of the Reset.

The purpose of a Home Reset is to support you exactly where you are. Please don’t feel the need to tidy, organize, or prepare your home before I arrive.

Seeing your home as it normally functions helps me better understand where support is needed and allows us to create solutions that work in real life.

A Home Reset is designed around the recurring work of maintaining a home — not completing large-scale organization projects.

While organization is often part of a Reset, the goal is to continually maintain and improve the areas of your home that naturally need attention over time.

If a space requires a complete overhaul, extensive decluttering, product sourcing, or several dedicated hours to organize from start to finish, it may fall outside the scope of a standard Home Reset.

Home Resets can absolutely improve organization over time, but they are not designed for full-room transformations or large-scale decluttering projects.

The organizational work included in a Home Reset is focused and manageable — maintaining areas like food storage, kids’ clothing, cabinets, pantry items, bathroom products, or under-sink storage.

If you’re primarily looking for a complete closet, pantry, playroom, basement, or whole-home organization project, a Home Reset may not be the right service for that particular need.cription

No. Calmstead is not a house cleaning service.

Home Resets focus on the recurring household work that happens between cleaning days — laundry, linens, household supplies, refrigerator upkeep, organization, editing, and other tasks that help keep your home functioning.

Some light wiping or cleaning may happen as part of completing a task, but general house cleaning and deep cleaning are not included.

No. Calmstead does not provide childcare, babysitting, pet sitting, or pet care services.

My focus is on supporting the home itself through hands-on household support and ongoing home maintenance.

Pets should be safely secured during your Home Reset when needed so I can work comfortably throughout the home.

You don’t need to decide what should be completed during the visit — I’ll keep track of where we left off and what’s due next.

The right rhythm depends on your household, how quickly recurring tasks build up, and how much support you’d like taken off your plate.

With recurring visits, I’m also able to keep track of what has been handled and what’s coming due so your home can be maintained over time rather than continually starting over.
