Frequently Asked Questions
Still have questions? You’re not alone. Take a look at the FAQs below, and if there’s anything else you’d like to know, feel free to reach out. When you’re ready, book a Home Visit and we’ll take it from there.
-
Yes. All new Home Reset clients begin with a Home Visit.
The Home Visit allows us to walk through your home, discuss your goals, identify priority areas, and create a plan for your first Home Reset. This ensures our time together is focused on what will make the biggest impact for your household.
Returning clients can book Home Resets directly without an additional Home Visit.
-
During the Home Visit, we’ll walk through the areas of your home that feel most overwhelming and discuss what’s working, what’s not, and where you’d like support.
This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, determine your priorities, and identify where a Home Reset will have the greatest impact. No organizing or hands-on work is completed during the Home Visit.
-
Every Home Reset follows the Calmstead Method:
Restore: Everyday household essentials are refreshed so your home is running smoothly.
Refresh: I complete the routine services you selected before your visit.
Refine: I dedicate focused time to one priority area, creating a lasting improvement using the systems already in your home.
Before each visit, you’ll complete a short Home Reset Prep Form so I can plan your session and make the best use of our time.
-
For your first Home Reset, I recommend being available at the beginning of the session so we can review priorities and answer any questions.
After that, many clients choose to be home while others use the time to run errands, work, or enjoy a few uninterrupted hours elsewhere. We’ll discuss what works best for your household during the Home Visit.

-
Not at all.
The purpose of a Home Reset is to support you exactly where you are. Please don’t feel the need to tidy, organize, or prepare your home before I arrive.
Seeing your home as it normally functions helps me better understand where support is needed and allows us to create solutions that work in real life.
-
No. Calmstead is not a cleaning service.
Home Reset sessions focus on organizing, decluttering, household systems, laundry, and restoring functionality to your home. Light tidying may occur as part of organizing a space, but deep cleaning services are not included.
-
No. Calmstead does not provide childcare, babysitting, pet sitting, or pet care services.

Once you’ve completed your first Home Reset, you’ll be considered a returning client and can book future Home Reset sessions directly.
Returning clients do not need an additional Home Visit and can schedule support as needed based on their household’s current priorities.

There is no required frequency. Some clients schedule a Home Reset seasonally, while others prefer weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly support to help maintain organization and stay ahead of household overwhelm.
